The Tourism and Business Initiative of Eastern Arkansas is inviting individuals to submit nominations for the new “Treasures of the Gladlands” promotion.

Treasures of the Gladlands are people, places, attractions, and events that make the Gladlands a wonderful place to live and visit. Individuals from the Gladlands communities (Lee County and St. Francis County) are encouraged to submit nominations. These nominations should be family friendly places, attractions, and events which are open to the public, or people who have a unique talent, hobby, or skill which contributes to the charm and appeal of the Gladlands.

One Treasure of the Gladlands will be selected from the nominations each month and will be highlighted in the following media: The Gladlands website, the Times-Herald Newspaper, the Courier Index, and KXJK/KBFC. 

“The Gladlands has many unique and appealing qualities waiting to be explored. This promotion is intended to highlight these qualities in order to encourage positive attitudes about our area and generate tourism. We want to share our treasures with each other and potential tourists.” said Lynsey Russell, project coordinator.
