Campbell House

campbell_house2.jpg

Junior Auxiliary of Forrest City was granted the historic Campbell House at 305 North Forrest Street in Forrest City through the generosity of the Jarrett family in January 2006. The Campbell House is one of the few remaining examples of structures from the early 20th Century in Forrest City and is an important specimen of prairie style architecture.  In October of 2006, the Campbell House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places as a tribute to its architectural and cultural significance. At the very heart of Forrest City geographically, the Campbell House once represented the hospitality of the Delta during its reign as the social epicenter of Forrest City.  The Campbell House is situated just west of Crowley's Ridge within the city limits and on the National Scenic Byway route and is thereby easily accessible to visitors touring the Delta.   For Campbell House Rental Information call 870-633-1189.
